Ice came to her foster home in January of 2021. She instantly integrated into the household. Ice is 100% tolerant with other fosters coming through the home. She's very independent and never shy with humans. Quiet and absolutely gorgeous.
During her time with in foster care she was diagnosed with Protein Losing Enteropathy. It's been under control with medication and prescription food. The medication has side effects of excessive thirst and urination. After a recent abdominal ultrasound to check her Inflammatory Bowel Disease, the radiologist saw a mass near Ice's pancreas that wasn't present in 2021. The results concluded the mass is a pancreatic neoplasm. That being a abnormal growth of tissue characteristic of cancer. The decision was made to consider her a hospice foster dog under PRO's care.
Ice is so very loved in her fospice home and will continue to get the best care for the rest of her days.
