Coco, aka Coco Bean or Coco Cutie, is a 3 year old, adorably freckled lemon & white pointer from Georgia who is currently fostered in Pennsylvania. She is a sweet girl with excellent manners - she’s housebroken and comfortable in her crate. In fact, when she’s had enough play time or pets, she will put herself back in the crate for a recharge.
Coco’s interests include chest pets, squeaky toys and being outside. Coco's disinterests include the icemaker, baths and going inside. Our biggest challenge has been teaching her that family life can be better than her previous outdoor life. She even tries to take her new toys out and sometimes pouts when asked to eat dinner before going outside. Her desire to be outside and hunting instincts are very strong, and she needs a fenced yard and supervision.
Coco is spayed and up to date on shots. Coco is a little shy and would benefit from a household that could help her gain confidence and provide structure of basic obedience training. She doesn't seem interested in counter surfing or jumping up, and she’s working on learning her name and “here”. She’s enjoyed her 3 & 6 year old foster kids and would make a wonderful family companion for pet respectful children. She is happy to hang out near humans working from home and has only barked at a squeak toy who barked at her first. Her intake shelter reported she’s good with other dogs, and she’s unknown with cats.
We are “cuckoo for Coco pup” and know that her forever family will be too!
