Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Pike was dumped because she was old and couldn't hunt anymore

[Note: When Pike passed away in Aug 2000 she was living a wonderful life as a "couch potato" with her rescuer, Rona... however, Pike had a very bad seizure and did not recover from the after effects. The photos on this page are Pike "before" and "after" her rescue. Many thanks to Rona for giving Pike such a wonderful life at the end of her days.]

Pike is a 12 year old liver and white female. Her shots are current and she is spayed. Pike is very sweet and loves people. She hunted all her life for her former owner but he took her to the shelter because she was too old to "hunt for more than 3 hours now". She is being fostered by Rona Brown from Second Chance, a rescue group in the Kansas City area, with assistance from Pointerrescue.Org. For more information, contact Rona at rbrown@cerner.com.
