Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Bitsy - Small Name but Big Heart!

Bitsy is an eight month old, liver & white, spayed female who was rescued from a shelter in the Reading, Pennsylvania, area. Prior to going to her foster home in South Carolina, Bitsy spent the weekend in Cape Cod, running on the beach and chasing the ocean waves. She stayed close to "her" people and the other dogs she was staying with and enjoyed the freedom and fresh air! She took her first plane ride when she travelled to South Carolina and made it through the trip with no incident.

Bitsy bonded quickly to her foster mom and has settled nicely into her new foster home.

Bitsy's foster mom reports that she has only had two "accidents" in the house and that housetraining has come along quite well. Bitsy sleeps in bed with her new family, which includes two other dogs. She especially enjoys snuggling with her new sister, Grace, who likes to have Bitsy lick her ears!

Bitsy and her siblings play well together in and out of the house. Bitsy is well-mannered in the house and prefers to lie down in the room with her foster mom rather than busy-body around the house. She was a bit of a barker with strange noises and people in the neighborhood but she's much better now. Although she wasn't fond about being crated, she is quickly learning about the wonderful world of crate training!

We think Bitsy will make some family a wonderful companion and playmate! Photos of Bitsy are forthcoming. Just remember to mark this page and come back to check on this cute, affectionate, Pointer puppy!
