"Sydney" -- A Sweet Dog That Got Dumped

(Submitted by Jean Schroeder -- not affiliated with PointerRescue.Org):

The Schroeders found a young liver/white male pointer that was dumped by their house. They live out in the country and someone felt kind enough to just drop him off.

Jean writes: "He is really a sweetheart. We did have him in the house overnight once and he was very good in the house and quiet in a crate all night. We would guess that he is around a year of age, has had his dewclaws removed, is not neutered. Has wonderful manners in a kennel, crate and the house. Seems to get along well with all kinds of animals. Knows basic obedience commands, along with shakes hands. Does not have the urge to be a barker in the kennel. Does have a sore on the end of his tail. Is unsure of men, loves women. Totally ignored my Guineas, so do not know if he has the hunting ability."

Sydney is now being fostered by Ralph and Barb Scalise. Their vet believes Sydney to be closer to 3 years old. Sydney is wonderful in the house and loves his fenced yard. He is getting along very well with the other two dogs and is a very quick learner....he was emaciated and is very slowly gaining weight. He will be neutered when he has some more weight on him.
